7 Simple and Effective Ways to Reduce Stress

1. Practice Deep Breathing

Breathing exercises help to improve sleep, reduce stress and ease anxiety. If you’re feeling angry or stressed out, the first thing which can help to calm you down is taking deep breaths.

I like to do deep breathing exercises when I feel tense or anxious. It is an inexpensive, effective and easy way to relax, and it can be done anywhere.

2. Keep a Journal

Journaling is an outlet for emotional release which is good for mental health. If you haven’t started journaling, I’m encouraging you to spend 5 minutes every day to start this habit. Writing down your thoughts and expressing yourself on paper helps to gain perspective and inner peace.

Focusing on gratitude helps to boost the feelings of satisfaction and happiness. It also helps to let go of worries and understand yourself better.

6. Plenty of Sleep

Have an adequate and good night’s sleep is important for you to improve concentration and manage stress. I don’t know about you, I need to sleep at least 7 hours each night. If I sleep less than 6 hours, I’ll feel tired, grumpy and can’t be focused.
